Furcationland Inc (FCL for short) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that focuses on providing exciting events in Maine that showcase the artistic talent within the furry fandom subculture for people of all ages (and species). FCL aims to celebrate the furry fandom and anthropomorphic animals through art, literature, culture, and community. FCL is made up of dedicated volunteers who work throughout the year to bring a fantastic furry convention to Portland!
Our most recent convention, held April 12-14th, 2024, was a resounding success! We welcomed 1,210 attendees and embarked on a furry adventure together, exploring downtown Portland and introducing the locals to a fuzzier side of life! We're thrilled to announce that we were also able to raise an incredible $10,284.13 for our charity partner, Short Folks For Hope!
Our first annual convention occurred April 14-16th, 2023, and brought 822 attendees together from the US, parts of Canada, and even welcomed two attendees sporting Icelandic passports! We had a thriving marketplace with 21 vendors and over 10 freelance artists taking commissions. That year, we raised $7,135.77 for Short Folks For Hope!

Fun fact about FCL: our organization's name is a pun on the "Vacationland" slogan displayed on road signs and license plates in Maine.
